Finally gotten BugNET to work where this website is hosted, and been playing around with it a bit.
I Have a site up here: issue.dotjem.com
At first glance it seems fairly ok, it definitely does no measure up to Atlassian Jira, but:
- It is ASP.NET and C# (so i can actually host it where i wanted to)
- It is completely free and open source. (you can apply for a free open license for open source or personal use with Jira)
- It is more light weight (not necessarily an advantage, but just more fitting for my situation)
Now i just hope that i at some point can begin and contribute to it as well, making it better. But that will definitely take a while before I get there.
One thing i would really like is the ability to assign a guest account, so everyone can post issues easily. For now I had to make a workaround for that.
And the greediness in me would like it to be a bit closer to a project managements system with build in issue management instead… but… that is demanding I suppose.
Edit: Realized it might be a good idea to place a direct link here to BugNET it self. So here you go: http://www.bugnetproject.com/
